API SOCIAL BOWLING CLUB AGM AND OPEN DAY

AGM and Opening Day

The Annual General Meeting of API bowls was held at the Belmont bowling club on Friday 12th September. The meeting was well attended by members and we were pleased that our patron and auditor Linda ross CEO of APIWA was able to join us.

Management Committee members elected were:

• Patron and Auditor, Linda Ross
• President and Treasurer, Susan Mitchell
• Secretary, Roger Marris
• Vice President,  Kevan Harris
• Club Captains, Bob and Val Simms.

Our very longstanding and valued member Richard (dick) Stone was granted a Life Membership. Dick has, among other duties, organised and run the club raffle for many years.

Following the AGM members enjoyed 10 ends of bowls followed by an excellent meal provided by the ladies of Belmont bowling club.

Winners of the day were:

• Skipper - Arthur Anderson.
• Team members - Hugh Frost, Bernie Rychlik and Brenda Smith.

The club has had a great start to the season and we look forward to enjoying our bowls over the coming season.

Our next game will be held at Scarborough club on Friday 26th September.  as usual, all API members and friends are welcome. for catering purposes please advise club captains Bob or Val Simms.
